Understanding Your Compact Camera: 3 x 2.5 hr sessions £79.50 includes lunch
An introduction to your camera and its settings. Come and learn about pixels, optical and digital zoom and picture quality. There will be lots of time to practice outdoors composing photographs and using the focus lock to maximise results with particular attention to portraits and flower photographs. Experimental Watercolours with Carole Baker £60.00
Carole Baker RBSA was born in 1965 in Lichfield, Staffordshire. She trained as a Graphic Designer and ran her own business for 18 years. Then in 2007 she turned to painting full time from her studio in Chase Terrace, Staffordshire. She attended Matthew Boulton College and later studied at Lichfield School of Art. Elected Full Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists in April 2008, Carole regularly exhibits there and in gallery shows and open exhibitions throughout the UK.
Ideal for absolute beginners or those who are a little rusty! You will be encouraged to ‘play’ with paint and you will produce a sheet of techniques including wet-in-wet, spattering, salt effects, wax resist. For more information about Carole and her work have a look at www.carolebaker.com

Intermediate Digital SLR Camera: Full day course, £75.00 includes lunch
JPEG or RAW? Learn the secrets the professionals normally keep to themselves! A course for those photographers that feel confident at using the aperture and shutter speed modes on their cameras. Exposure compensation, fill and balanced flash, when and how to change your ISO settings will all be covered. Tuesday 15th July 1.30 - 3.30 pm Pastel demonstration with artist Ian Risely. £12.50
A self-taught artist, Ian teaches pastelling throughout the UK and with a number of awards and hundreds of animal commissions to his credit, he has work hanging throughout the UK, Canada and New Zealand. Ian specialises in animal and wildlife studies and regularly takes private commissions of pets. He will be creating a work in pastel for the group, a medium he has been using for 25 years!
Saturday 4th October 10.00 am - 4.00 pm. Pastel Wildlife and Landscapes with Ian Risely £50 includes lunch
Come and spend a day with Ian and share his love of pastel drawing, a medium that he has been getting to know (!) for 20 years. During the morning session you will create a wildlife subject and the afternoon, a landscape. Lunch and all refreshments provided through the day.
